Hoc est Corpus Meum (This is my body) 2014
Found Object Installation This piece consists of a collection of found objects with an attached fictional story. It explores loss of identity and memory, the relationship that we have with narrative, how we interpret and perceive it. The removal of the faces and therefore the identity of the people in the photographs is an act of loss of memory. Comparisons can be drawn between a bleaching or cleansing of a families photographs to Hitler’s cleansing of humanity. |
