The linear monologue of an absent author, 2017
Each place holds a presence, an aura, a memory of what once was. Here, the artist makes an enquiry into the space/site and its history to create a new manifestation; a moment which transcends time, remembering the forgotten whilst referencing the present. The film was made during a visit to Scalesceugh Hall, a Cumbrian manor house from 1746, using the 2-day site-specific film concept developed by the artist in which you have one day to photograph and record the site whilst writing a found poem then one day in which to edit the film. |
